Aidan

Aidan is an American mezzo-soprano who enjoys a diverse career as artist, educator, and scholar. She has performed extensively in concert, opera, and recital with organizations such as the Houston Symphony, Glimmerglass Opera, AIMS in Graz, Austria, and The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D. C.  An Associate Professor of Voice at the University of Missouri – Kansas City Conservatory of Music & Dance, Aidan is also a 2014 – 15 recipient of a Fulbright Scholar Award to India.  Teaching and performing in Kolkata for four months, Aidan’s Fulbright project focused on Western classical art songs set to the poetry of Rabindranath Tagore.  These songs – by American, British, and European composers – use Tagore’s own English translations, which were then translated into multiple other languages.  Aidan gave several performances of this repertoire in Kolkata, including a performance at the Tagore ancestral home (JorasankoThakurbari).
