I Am Always Late

                                                                                                                                                                                           by Munir Niazi

I am always late in doing everything:

To tell an urgent thing or to keep a promise

To call her, or to ask her to come back.

I am always late

To help a person or to console a friend

To go to meet someone far away.

I am always late

To enjoy the of sight of the changing weather

To remember someone or to forget someone.

I am always late

To relieve someone from a sorrow just before his death

To go and tell that person that the truth was something else

I am always late in doing everything.

Six Colourful Doors

                                                                                                                                                                                     by Munir Niazi

Flowers of six colours are blooming

In front of my house

Doors to some new pleasure

As if awaken from a dream

Many colours are behind them

And many surmises

Many cities are behind them

And many doors.
