V Ramaswamy lives in Kolkata. He has translated The Golden Gandhi Statue from America by the Bengali writer, Subimal Misra, the first of a series of Misra’s short fiction in English translation. Wild Animals Prohibited, the second collection is forthcoming in 2015.
